Good Vs Best

Dr. Cobb discusses how environment effects behavior. When looking at good versus best, he starts with asking if his plans actually fit in with his lifestyle.

A great point is made when it comes to physical training. If we find this great baseball training program we want to implement, but we do not have the time available that a professional player does then that program is not going to work for us.

Instead we need to look for ways to squeeze in 30 seconds of training here, ten minutes of training there if that is what our lifestyle allows.

When our training is not congruent with our lifestyle we are setting ourselves up to fail.

Then he gets to the good vs best. There are lots of things we can do to produce a good effect on our lives. But rather than focusing on one or several of these, he encourages us to find the single best thing that will have the greatest positive impact towards our goals.
